Hello from Tasmania
G'day everyone. Im Chris from Tasmania, I recently resurrected a high school love of mine for specialty timbers and woodworking. Looking forward to being a part of this forum, seeing what happens around Australia specialty timbers wise, and sharing what I'm getting up to in my old mans shed.
Cheers, Chris

Hi Chris,
Welcome to the forum.
It is a pity that the special timbers scene down here has been put in the situation it has.
You know, the state that should have the best timbers available does not and is suddenly is a joke. The I.G.A etc.etc.
Anyway hope you have lots of interesting things to add to the forum and lots of hot tips about where to get a hold of nice Tassie timbers without breaking the law.
Cheers

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Chris".
There are quite a few members in Hobart area and across Tassie plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork and enjoy the old shed...
Cheers crowie
