    Thumbs up Gunstock Refinishing

What do you suggest as a decent stain remover in removing old stain off an old gunstock?

(Previous owner did a rush job and it looks terrible so the original finish has gone. Hence not worried about losing the value in refinishing the stock probably gain value)

Most likely European walnut but not entirly positive originaly made in Spain.

Would it be better to just sand the stain out of the timber using fine grit sandpaper?

    Thanks for the help

sand it and then try to bleach it out with hydrogen peroxide. as ususal test it on a piece that is not in plain sight.
I try and do new things twice.. the first time to see if I can do it.. the second time to see if I like it
