You know what they say about young people and their attentions spans. Can you imagine young Clarkey having to pay attention for 5 days? He'd need to bring his Gameboy."I don't practice what I preach because I'm not the kind of person I'm preaching to."

We would certainly carry a batsman who was out of form for a while if they had been a solid contributor to the side in the past. I don't see why we wouldn't do the same for Dizzy. He bowled quite well in the Australian summer and again in New Zealand.

Just reading the Herald "England on Top" is the headline. Of course they're on top, they batted first!!

I woke up at about 2:40 this morning and went for a pee (you needed to know that) turned on the cricket to see that they were 3/330. Woke up this morning and they were 5 for 340. I was thinking we'd be chasing 600 but maybe 400-450 is more like it.

I actually think it's a bowlers game. We have been so successful over the past 15 years because of McGrath and Warne. Having good bowlers takes the pressure off the batsmen so they can play an attacking game.
Look at the West Indies of the 80's. They were so good because they had the likes of Holding, Garner, Walsh and Ambrose.
I'm not saying that our batsmen aren't great but if they continually had to chase big scores they would play alot differently.
Hayden is out of form. Should he be dropped?Photo Gallery

I meant it's a batsman's game in that the laws are skwewed in favour of the batsmen.
You know, benefit of the doubt and all that.
And how comes four runs gets added to the bowler if the batsman misses it down the leg side but it hits him on the leg?
