We would certainly carry a batsman who was out of form for a while if they had been a solid contributor to the side in the past. I don't see why we wouldn't do the same for Dizzy. He bowled quite well in the Australian summer and again in New Zealand.

Well there's the rub. They have been carrying him for too long and the burden is bginning to tell.

I actually think it's a bowlers game. We have been so successful over the past 15 years because of McGrath and Warne. Having good bowlers takes the pressure off the batsmen so they can play an attacking game.

Look at the West Indies of the 80's. They were so good because they had the likes of Holding, Garner, Walsh and Ambrose.

I'm not saying that our batsmen aren't great but if they continually had to chase big scores they would play alot differently.

I meant it's a batsman's game in that the laws are skwewed in favour of the batsmen.
