Didn't turn on the tv until they broke for lunch after bad experiences at previous matches .

So 93 for 1 at lunch, promising start.

    Why is Gillespie playing?

Much as I am an admirerer of his past deeds I think he's done nothing on this tour and it's time the indulgence stopped.

Perhaps it's just that Punter doesn't know how to get the best out of his troops?

Why didn't he bowl Warney before lunch?

    Questions questions

Well, it's now tea on the first day... the track is flat as a F'n biccie.. & we have more fast bowlers than batsman & no fielders... I think we are F'd.... yet again...

He said on the radio this morning that the ball was starting to reverse swing and when that happens, you have to take as much advantage of it as possible. I'm not too sure about Punter, or a few others for that matter. McGrath and Warnie have carried that team for a long time and to have catches put down like those is just heart breaking. I couldn't watch it after the frist one went down.

How are we going in the Rugby ?

Agreed. In fact I'd go as far as to say Kasper should be there before Bubble Boy. Kasper gets a bad rap from a lot of critics but he's quite handy in the field and he gets wickets too.

Anyway, we (supposedly) have batsmen there who are all capable of century plus scores. We just have to hope they don't collapse again.

    Gillespie 59 Overs 3 for 252
    Kasper 18 Overs 3 for 109

    He's not taking enough wickets.

It hurts to see Dizzy being hit around the ground, as he's one of my favourite players. Would like to see Kasper have a shot.

But oh, those dropped catches and not puting Shaaaaaaane on earlier. And sending the Poms in last time. Is this the start of the slippery slope?

Ahhh come on boys. The other teams are allowed to do well occasionally. Cripes, do you realise we've probably got blokes in our team who've never played a five day test? Played lots of tests that were supposed to go five days, but which didn't.
