anyone know of a Rapid bandsaw ?
No I don't mean a fast one lol, I mean one with the Model or Manufacturer name being called Rapid.
Been searching but can't find any information
perhaps one of you guys may have come across one or know of them
I was wondering about their overall performance and availability of spares
cheers

Rapid where a brand around for some years, I remember them in large pedastel grinders, power hacksaws and metal bandsaws. May have been a badged import for all I know...In WA Ron Mack Machinery (600 Machinery) used to have some of their stuff but I'm talking 10 or more years ago. They may have a website.

Thanks for the reply Squizzy
I ended up buying one second hand, looks just like the generic 14" bandsaw from the various retialers so should be ok
Works well, just need better blade(s) and perhaps some roller guides
Cheers

Rapid bandsaws
Hi all...first post, so please bear with me. Rapid is a brand name of Agazzani, a top-notch Italian maker of bandsaws. I think that they have been making saws for over 70 years, and are very highly regarded. Their dealer in Australia is a company called "For Wood"-they have a showroom in Perth and a small one in Sydney as well. I saw the range of saws there last year and was powerfully impressed. If I hadn't just bought an older Meber 600 I would have eventually purchased a 24" Rapid.

thanks for the repy gregoryq and welcome to this woodworking forum
i wish my one was of the make you were referring to but for what she is she goes ok. Some nice new blades are on their way from Henry Bros so i can have a crack at resawing and making some boxes.
Might get some better guides later, meant to help with precision.
cheers
