Pick up an item from Wahroonga, NSW

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone who lives in, or near, Wahroonga in Sydney would be able to Pick up a box for me.
I am trying to organise a courier, but the guy is a bit difficult about having to be there, etc.
So, assuming he doesn't come around, which he might, if someone could pick it up one evening or weekend, I can then get the courier to pick it up from you, so you would need to be around in business hours, or be able to leave it somewhere, such as a verandah etc, for them to pick it up.
I understand, it's a bit of a PIA for you, but I'm hoping one of you good gents will take pity on me, and you never know, one day I may be able to return the favour.

Edit: it's not very big or anything (not a table saw), should weigh about 10kg or less, 400mm X250mm X150mm. so fit in any boot or back seat.
