Hanging a rock-climbing hangboard
Hello. I am not good with any of this stuff (that's why I am here!).
I want to hang this rock climbing hangboard. It is at least 25 lbs. And I weight 160 lbs.

I honest-to-god have no doorways with enough room to do the typical installation:

So I was thinking that the best place would be in my room between my closet. I removed all the doors and there is nothing in this closet, so it is basically a 3 foot doorway with no top section. I was thinking of somehow placing the board between the closet.

I could use two 2x4s and maybe place the hangboard on plywood more like the video suggested, and then place the plywood on these 2x4s. I am asking you guys if this is safe or stupid and if it would be necessary to build a support structure instead.
Thanks!
