Ledacraft MB-203 vs Carba-Tec CTJ-350 jointers - opinions please
I am looking to buy a 8 inch jointer and am looking at the Carba-Tec CTJ-350 and the Ledacraft MB-203. They look pretty much identical except maybe for the blade guard. What are the pros and cons for the different guards? Both jointers look like they come from the same factory but are they of comparable manufacture?

The carbatec guard is the better 'leg of mutton guard'. When u buzz the timber, the guard rests against the edge of timber covering the majority of the unused portion of the cutter head. IT can be easily removed for rabbeting, usually its just a simple pin that u lift the guard out.
