Fitch Sharpening - Canberra
I've been a fan of Fitch Sharpening in Canberra for years (well, Fyshwick, actually). I drove past today, and to my horror saw that the shop was closed and being sold.
Does anyone here have any news - are they relocating? (Fingers crossed!!!)

Don't go for a drive down Townsville street then..... for lease, vacant, for sale, for sale, rent me!, for lease.... the whole street.
Every. Single. Business. Gone.
Everything. I was there this arvo.... Ghost town.
Go the real estate boom!
As for Fitches... even the sharpening service out the back? Where can we get our stuff sharpened now?????

I remember back in 1994 it was a ghost town. I started an ISP and webdesign in a titanic warehouse... cost $215 a week.

Not sure about the sharpening shop out the back. I was still in shock out the front and didn't wander up there.

Fitches closed the shop several months ago. I believe the sharpening side of the business is still going.

Why not call their old phone number (6239 1295) and see if they answer or have a message?

I never heard about that! Months ago!
Crumbs - no wonder they shut down. If they have been shut for months and I only just found noticed - shows what a crap customer I was!
