One more vote for the new dewalt... You can get the 12" one the latest model for approx $850...
Have one of them... Love it...

    For comparison...
Father in law bought a 10" bosch.. well.. although both of them are nice saws... dewalt came out as a more sturdier machine..

Bosch has two .. hmmm lets say flaws... the laser.. is pretty much a gimmick... It was good for first job.. but by the completion of the job, dust accumulated inside the laser casing thus completely blocking it.. at the moment it is pretty much as good as not having it... also while it was operational, it wasn't really aligned...
Second flaw is the locking mechanism.. while for most people it is pretty sturdy, the twist to lock is not really for heavy handed people as my father in law who actually managed to snap the thing off so now can't lock the angle...

Due to the difference in design dewalt managed to address both issues.. fist one.. no laser but LED light above blade projecting shadow.. which can be visible in broad sunny daylight... and gives exact thickness of the blade.. and no need for adjustment...
Second is the locking mechanism which is actually push of a button style lever...

Although both of them are precise and perform well, personal preference would be dewalt

Well Ive spent a lot of cash (to me anyway) today

After reading lots about the different saws, I have bought a used Bosch 12" glide (GCM 12 GDL Pro), it came with the Bosch bench and a new 120t saw also.

My only slight problem is that I'm away from home with work and won't be able to play with it until I get home in a week or so.

I have the 12" dewalt also. Very happy with it also.
Model is DW 780 from memory.
Only real downside is it's bloody heavy.

    as what jimfish said
    http://www.dewalt.com.au/powertools/.../catno/DWS780/

it is a bit on a heavy sides.. fortunately they have designed it with multiple handle points making it a bit easier to handle while carying... but it is fairly heavy...
again saying that.. one has to take in account that it is 12" saw with solid metal bed construction...
