    Default danish oil finish

I've just put the first coat of Ruskins Danish Oil on a Jarrah hall table and cheval mirror. I sanded it down to 800 grit for the bits you can see and 400 for other bits I flooded the first coat for about 20 minutes replenishing the dried out bits and then removed excess and rubbed back. Looks good with a nice patina. I intend to put on 2 more coats followed by EEE polish (if needed) and then Traditional Wax.

My question is with the following coats of danish oil....should I flood the next coats with a brush and rub back OR put oil on with a brush and leave for polyurethane component to build up? I've done some tests on scrap and both ways seem to turn out OK but I'm not sure which way is best long term.

Also am I on the right track with the EEE polish and Traditional wax?
