Hi all,

I'm getting a new kitchen installed into our apartment unit in late January and have a little side job that I'd like to get sorted at the same time.

There is a "serving window" / half wall (see photo attached) between the kitchen and the living room and my plan is to get it raised from its current ~75cm height to about 90cm (same height as the kitchen bench)

Once that is done I'd like to put a stone top with a bit of overhang and stools on the living room side.

I'm after some suggestions on the best way to go about it, particularly how to raise the height of that half wall? Understanding the architraves will need to be removed, Is it as simple as adding a couple of layers of brick and rendering it or is there an easier / more permanent / cost effective / less messy solution?

Any suggestions will be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Rog
