Default Joining aluminium fence post to colorbond post

    Hi all,

Im about to join an aluminium 65mm sq post flush to the end of this rather thin steel colorbond fence post. Im extending this side fence with an aluminium picket fence.
Note the concrete already around the existing colorbond fence post. The existing post feels quite rigid.

What would the best/easiest method to join and be strong enough?

Bolt top and bottom through both posts?

Any ideas welcome before I go and do the not yet obvious incorrect way

    cheers

I don't know what the answer is but I think there is a corrosion issue to consider.

Thanks Fuzzie I'll look into that.

I was thinking of puting in a piece of timber inside the steel post where the steel sheet sits so the bolt will have something to bite into.
