Knob upgrade
One of the knobs on my DP stripped its thread and fell off and the the others are quite loose and I dare not tighten them too much in case I strip their threads too so I decided to perform a "knob upgrade"
The knobs are wood balls courtesy of Homesy135 (thanks Paul with 8mm nuts epoxied into a hole so they screw straight onto the handles.
A couple of coats of one of my standard colours (Volcano Orange) completed the makeover.
I have no idea how long they will last but they have a good feel to them

I drilled and tapped some golf balls for mine. Nice size too.

Have not needed to replace my DP knobs as yet but my shafts started to go rusty - always had very salty hands. I wire wheeled the shafts, gave them a coat of wheel silver then "covered" them with old clear airline hose. End of problem.
