Where to buy new Stanley #4 cap iron
Hello, I have buggered up my old Stanley No 4 cap iron trying to get it dead flat against the cutter blade
Can anyone please advise where I might be able to get a replacement?
It is also called a cutter cap, and is the piece that screws to the cutter blade, and is 2" wideregards,

You might be able to use a Hock upgrade backing iron. I think they are made specifically for the thicker Hock irons, but it might work with a standard iron as well.

Thanks for your suggestions everyone. I followed up with Tool Exchange, and got a new cap iron from Stuart, paid by PayPal - nice, smooth, quick transaction !
