Default Hard pad for ROS (not Festool) where to find?

Ok, for those of you who've seen my posts in the Mirka CEROS, you know just how much I love it. But I cannot, for the life of me, find a hard pad (same as Festool hard) with a generic 5/16" thread. Here are the ones I've tried:

Rupes: sticker says hard, it's a medium.
Sia: box says hard, it's a medium
Mirka Unipad: this is just great. They make a hard pad and put a 2mm layer of soft foam on top. What the $&@* is the point of that!?

I've also tried sanding a Festool pad to fit, no luck there either.

If anyone knows of anything that fits the bill please let me know. I've already wasted over $150 on pads and it's really starting to tick me off.

Why not try making your own?

Use an old one, sanding off the old velcro and padding down to the hard backing. Attach with rubber cement some old rubber industrial belting cut appropriately to shape and drill from the back for appropriately sized and shaped dust holes.

Attach some new velcro and then Robert's your Father's brother.

And this is why I love this place. I never would have thought of making my own. Might take a bit of fiddling to get it balanced for 10k rpm, but I guess that's part of the fun.
