I love my Workcentre but now it's time to move on...

After approx 12 years of faithful service, I have taken the next step up and purchased a dedicated Table Saw. The WC has been a wonderful workhorse and I am sure it will continue to serve the next owner well for many years.

I put it up for sale in the forum marketplace but didn't get any bites but expected as much , as most people on the forum would already have a Table or similar already. It included many extras including the 235mm Triton Saw, Maxi Extention Table and many other Triton attachments.

After placing it on Gumtree I got 3 queries within the week and a bloke came around today and purchased it for near the full price I had on it. I believe he got a good deal and I don't have the room to store it just for "sentimental" reasons.

I still own other Triton gear such as Stands, Super Jaws, Router...but I will miss my workcentre, if only for a week or so.

I got a tablesaw a few years back but I find that I still use the Triton workcentre a fair bit. Paricularly with the maxi extension table. I am working (slowly) towards fitting the maxi table to the tablesaw. then I might even move my triton on. I moved the triton router table on straight away when I got another better router table but the workcentre just seemed to remain useful.. I too have kept the superjaws, multistands and of course, two routers.

I purchased a JessEm sliding table for the new table saw and am very happy with it.

I found that with the Triton Maxi Table, I can only crosscut comfortably 600mm wide sheet material between the rip fence when it is at the rear and the blade. The sliding table gives me the entire 1200mm width crosscut.

I think my attachment to the Triton is that it was my first decent piece of woodworking gear and I did a lot of jobs with it including all the cabinets for my Kitchen reno 8 years ago.

Thanks for that info Skot, I had not actually taken much notice of that piece of kit before, I just downloaded the manual and it looks pretty good. I may have to think about that one a bit. In the meantime the Triton Workcentre is still alive and well in my workshop
