Years ago, friends moved and the removalists took a wall sized bookcase which consisted of quite a few besser blocks and planks as well as all of the books. They also took quite a few pots and plants from the fernery.
No problem or even thoughts that it was not "furniture".
Things certainly appear to have changed when the removalist thinks/feels he can pick and choose when he has been contracted to move the contents of a property.

Last move I made they loaded everything including my motorbike and concrete mixer.
