    Default My first efforts

Just started wookworking at Christmas after my son requested a Router. Aquired a small bandsaw and am having fun. Fortunate to have been given the Yew and just sealed it and flocked the inside of the drawers.

    Hi Alexam,
Good job there, I particularly like the cross grain one. It has given me new ideas of what can be done with the tree trunk I have.

Thanks. It was nice to have been given that bit and I do have another similar one to have a go at sometime. However, Yew branches of a reasonable thickness are difficult to come across, so I am combining other woods and trying different designs. Great fun.
