going to scrap .anybody want some larger 3 phase motors (6kw)
to save from scraping a pair of about 6 or 7 kw motors. alimak brand.
with brakes.
come from a alimak industrial lift. Only a few years old.
not much use.
the inverters i think are there to.
I hope posting this hear is ok.
alimak is the top quality industrial lift company . Swiss i think.

Hi Azzrock,
Could have been good for a rotary converter. I was thinking adapting the brake onto my lathe motor, large VFD always handy.

For someone with big 3 phase motors like me - quite handy. I'd add one to my Monarch CY lathe, for example. It has a 7.5 hp motor. My medium air compressor that I got for free needs a bigger electric motor, 11kW is what it used to have on it.
So they do have a use other than scrap, but not all that important.

I wouldn't worry about it - you can't save/grab everything and realistically, there aren't many people here who could use stuff that big.
I've just spotted a Herbert drill press. I don't need another drill press but as I'm on holidays with my truck and small crane, might ask if it's available cheap. I can always trade it or give it away.
