Looks pretty good for a first attempt!

I can see many mistakes on my project. Hopefully will fix them in the next one.

As my old ww teacher used to say,
"if you never made a mistake you never made anything"
"The difference between an apprentice and a master craftsman is the latter is better at hiding his mistakes"
"There's no such thing as a mistake if you treat it as a learning opportunity"
"Wanting to learn how to rescue a mistake is the mark of a good student"
He had dozens of these saying which he would say in a mocking voice but it was really meant to keep us going when disaster struck.

If you're keen I have a Triton 2000 you could have. It's done me well for 12 years or so, and has the router table as well. Yow will need a saw for it though...

Welcome to the forum. As you're learning you may be interested in attending a seminar put on by TemplateTom. It'll open your eyes in what can be done with a router. Hi Jerlin,

I have a Festool Kapex SCMS and it is great, so you are starting with best. If you run out of money and/or room in the shed you might think about using the machines at the Perth Wood School. I think it's about $60 per hour.

I would love to have a big table saw, belt sander, spray booth etc. but reality bites (I don't have an infinite supply of money!!) I am not involved with the school but have used the facilities.

I am retired and with covid thinking to start "something" but yes,NO TOOLS!!
Also, I cannot make up my mind what to make first, so I came acrossthese plans.
