Triton router fence

I have never used my triton router fence since purchase ten years ago, but yesterday I sorted
it out and found the fence that attaches to this plate, but can someone please confirm if the item marked with white cross is perhaps a circular setting point or what have you?

No, its not that, I just went and checked.

Any other ideas please?

If you are refering to the black bit in the presssed recess near the cross, it is a pivot point for using the plate as a circle jig. Not sure if you still have your original manual for the unit, but baseplate, fence and circle jig are covered on the last page. Can be downloaded here if you need a copy. As you probably know, the metal base plate fits to the router with the two spring loaded bolts and plastic wing nuts that were fitted to the router sub base and base frame.

Thanks Malb. No I did not get that manual, I think instructions were on the box and that is long gone. My triton router was the first batch, serial number 00238.

Im looking at getting the Triton JOF001,
I was wondering how does the fence work ?
what I mean is how did you find it ? good / bad
easy to install and set.
