Guys try doing turning for a Job 6mm doc on a nuttall lathe all day long the worst is getting blue swarf down your shirt in your hair and KEEP YOUR MOUNTH SHUT

You never want to wear anything synthetic with carbide.
When those little smoke bombs go off in the drip tray, you know things are pretty hot.
RobThe worst that can happen is you will fail.
But at least you tried.

Sock protectors are great! I'm mostly in trousers in the workshop though. The only time I'm in shorts outside is when I'm digging or landscaping. The sock protectors are gold for that in my book.
I wear plan old gumboots and trousers when I'm brush cutting. It saves the rocks smashing your shins and the trousers hang over the top of the boot enough to keep most of the grass out.
I don't like wearing gloves when I work though. About three times a mowing season on that brush cutter I get a knuckle smasher that shakes my bottom lip!
I still love that brush cutter though! It's a monster!
