Default Organoil ..... An Expiry Date?

Does anybody know if Organoil Hard Burnishing Oil, has an expiry date?
The reason that I ask is that I have an old tin (possibly 8 years old) that I am thinking of using for a project, but I don't want to stuff it up.

    "Suitable for powered-disc operation, hand-rubbed and on-lathe
finishing. Based on genuine, unmodified Tung Nut Oil, providing for
excellent sealing, efficient drying and handling durability. Geared for
minimal darkening/yellowing though still delivers light, natural colour
enhancement. Following drying, is least likely to taint foods cut on
or served in (chopping boards, bowls etc.)."

If in doubt, send it to Uncle Al.

Try using it on an offcut of the same timber you are using for your project.

sir, I think that if it had reached it's expiry date that it would have solidified.

Most likely the solvent has gone off. Check to see if there are lumps, and to see if when applied to scap it dries.

New can is all of about $20. Not worth the risk in any case.

And there are better products on the market IMHO.

I was speaking to the organoil peoples at the sydney show and they reckon it doesn't go off because it doesn't have stuff like polyU in it - drop them a line, I've always found them quick to respond to emails.
If I do not clearly express what I mean, it is either for the reason that having no conversational powers, I cannot express what I mean, or that having no meaning, I do not mean what I fail to express. Which, to the best of my belief, is not the case.

Stinky, wander along to S*xpo, I'm tipping the manufacturer will have a stall there...
