That's a very well put together (constructed) song, parents, music teachers and arranger should be mighty proud. Great work.

Did someone say TOOL?! & shame on you MM for posting such sacrilegious material. Just had all TOOL's works on shuffle in the workshop today (not uncommon for me).

Well done to those kids though. Couldn't bring myself to listen to any more of it once the lyrics started, but anyone gutsy enough to take on a TOOL song deserves congrats. Takes big kahunies.

I'd like to put recent posts/comments in to perspective, and hopefully restore some dignity to this thread, and more importantly, to the almighty TOOL.

The song, "Forty Six and Two" is thought to be based on an individual evolving to a superior state of being. Humans currently have 22 pairs of autosomes and 1 pair of sex chromosomes for a tally of 23 pairs, or 46 chromosomes in total. It is theorised that the next step in human evolution will see our species adopt an additional pair (or 2 more), similar to that of apes. Jungian theory (the works of psychiatrist Carl Jung) touches on this, and is thought to be the inspiration for the penning of the lyrics.

Now... higher states of evolution & Susan Boyle. I'm not making any assumptions or insinuations here, but I think we may have strayed off topic.
