Looking through the Brown's Tool Auctions site ...
"B-339 STANLEY MODEL SHOP TOOL. Stanley No. 5 with Adjustable Frog. Frog pivots from 30 to 65 degrees. Graduated side plates direct read setting. Built on an S 5 body. Fine 800 - 1200"

An interesting bit of kit. Not mentioned in the Blood & Gore catalogue, it jumps from 292 to 340, no 339......

As said looks like a good idea and also as said chatter may be a problem. I can see the need for one but guess a foolproof working adjustable angle plane would cost an arm and some legs. I have just been working some local wattle and had to resort to the belt sander.

Because if you drop a standard bench plane it might break, but that one is guaranteed to break?Which wasn't overwhelmingly successful, one may deduce?
