Help request - repairs to edge damage on Teal table

I very recently completed bench carcasses for our new Kitchen reno.
My handbuilt (by me) solid Teal occasional table, now about 45 years old, became the de facto worktop; a case of use what you have.
Unfortunately one of the malteca faced particle board panels was dropped & the table received some nasty top edge damage.
Visible in the not very good pics attached.
Although I built this myself, (epoxy & 8mm dowels) I am frankly at a loss as to how to go about making a "near invisible mend.
You might note that the upward facing grain is random, the more usual linear "teak deck patterns" are on the other face.
I intend refinishing all the teak anyway, do this about once every 10 years or so because this table is in daily use & has seen some unusual applications.

First: if all the timbers there have you tried putting a damp cloth on it and let the timber swell.
I've done it for small dings.

Second:you could put a 45 degree bevel all the way round and remove it that way or a round over bit.
Third : maybe router a 1/4 inch square around the edge and put in a contrasting strip, could do that with option 2 and put in some small strips.
Forth: get a table cloth that drops over the ends to hide it.
