G'day from Central Victoria.
G'day Folks.
This is my first post on the forum after joining four years ago. I figure it's about time I introduced myself!
I've been working with wood, in fits and bursts, for most of my life. How productive I have been has mostly been defined by the places I've lived & my access to tools during that time. My family and I moved from the city to central Victoria earlier this year and a sizable shed was high on the priority list. Consequently I now have a three car garage and I am able to gather tools based on need rather than footprint. It turns out that I don't miss the city at all!
I've always preferred to work with recylced timber to make any furniture that was needed in the house. Rather than spend large amounts of money on store bought, flat-pack, laminated chipboard this way I can design & create furniture to the specifications required and from materials that are durable and exude the sort of character that comes from timber that has had a previous life in some other form. The economics of this are self-evident but the satisfaction that comes from surrounding ones-self with these objects is priceless. To date I have built all the beds in the house (1 Queen, 1 King Single and a single Loft bed), the entertainment unit, coffee table, bookshelf, bedside tables, bench seats and a slew of tables & chairs for our 3 year old boy (pictured here learning the trade).Ryoboy.jpg
Next on the list will be an eight seater dining table which I'll get stuck into early next year once I'm finished with a small box trailer resto that I'm currently occupied with atm (the list never ends...thank goodness!).
Anyhow, I'll add a picture of my workspace as it was this afternoon in all it's glorious clutter. Shed-01.jpg
Thanks for having me!

Four years before posting, not quite as long as some. I hope you will post more often now that you have a shed.
That is a lot of space and I expect that you will fill it with necessary tools. I see that you have plenty of room to increase the height of the shelves if needed.

Nice space! And begging to be filled with tools...
Looking forward to the projects!
Feels a bit strange saying 'welcome' when you've been on the forum considerably longer than me, so I'll say "Happy Travels"50 characters? What use is a signature of 50 char-
