Video of Manufacture France 1887
Not sure what the video is about exactly but as it is a french silent movie, may be a general movie about manufacture capabilities of the country or a promotion for a factory.
Part belt driven machines, part hand tools. Covers blacksmithing, foundry work, pattern making and fine cabinetry.
Love to have some one do a English voice over.

The title of the video is "Les écoles nationales professionnelles"
which translates about like: "the national trade schools"
Looks like I need to install flash player to watch it...

Very interesting. Got to love the berets!
I wonder how many of these skills are still taught?
Sort of related: on ABC iView, there's an episode of Mastercrafts all about blacksmithing. Worth a lookGeoff
