Solid wood mantle clock finish
Gday Guys
Making some Mantle clocks. 2 Eastern red / 1 Camphor
Looking for a reasonable fuss free finish. Satin / Semi-Gloss.
The one pictured has been sanded to 400 and a coat of Danish Oil to bring out some colour and condition the wood.
Wonder if a water wipe on poly would do.
I have just rubbed in some "Gillie's" Rose cream polish on some desktop item which came up well.
My concern is the routed edge feature. It is a little rougher and concerned with getting a finish into crevices, possibly a little cloth catch when polishing.
cheers Bob
