Dengue :: Re the fixing problem. If you use epoxy and screw through
from the top you can always fill in the screw holes with epoxy and sand
them back to level with the melamine surface.
I did a similar thing on my router table, where I used a laminex top.
No problems after 8-9 years.

I use TB2 as my go to. Not sure why. It's always served me well. I've got a bottle of 3 there that I'll use next.

I use TB3 for pretty much everything where PVA is needed, I do have bottles of 1 and 2, but only because I saw them at Masters, and like having lots of different glues on my glue shelf!
It is more expensive, but given the bottles last me a few years, it certainly isn't significant.....
