Default UBEAUT EEE or traditional wax?

Hi all - just putting the finishing touches on my hall table. It is made from recycled aust mahogany and finished with 3 coats of tung oil at the moment.

I have sanded back to 800 grit (or was it 1200) before oiling and then I lightly rubbed each coat of oil back before applying the next.

The tung oil finish is nice, but I am keen to wax over the top of it to give it a little more shine. Clearly, the best products for this would be UBEAUT EEE wax or traditional wax! ( shameless plug I know).

Which of these products is best for this kind of job?

    Cheers

Trad. Wax would be the go.

Triple E isn't really a finish in it's own right, although it has some wax in it. It's like a cutting compound which you can use on raw timber before finishing (usually on the lathe with Shellawax) or over other finishes to give them a more silky-satin look/feel. Not sure if it would improve an oil finish, someone else might know. There's a fact sheet for both products on the UBeaut web site.

Trav, I am after 100% tung oil but can't find it. What is the name of the product you are using, where did you buy it, and is it pure stuff?

    Hi FD

Not sure if it is 100% tung oil. I too had some trouble finding pure stuff. I ended up getting this at bunnings - I think it is intergrain or interwood or somethign like that. I'll try to remember to check it tonight.
