Also, thanks Multinut, I think this is the most important poll that has been posted for many a while.

originally I asked for one of each, but then I thought "what the hey... if aliens want to read my mind, let them go ahead.. it will be the first time in ages that anyone was interested in what I think.."

so I ordered two with out protection
I try and do new things twice.. the first time to see if I can do it.. the second time to see if I like it

How can you call yourself a woodworker when you don't wear a foilie?

    Me: "I'm a woodworker",

    Simple as that

I am an electrician and try not to adorn myself with conductive surfaces

I went with "foilie"; got mine at WWW Sydney but there no foil in the foilie

Are the aliens messing around with our caps or is it just me?

No mate it's not just you. I wanted a foilie and was disappointed when there weren't bits of foil turned up around trheedge (or at least something that looked like there was foil lining. So I bought a non foilie. I thought the Foilie label alone was a bit confusing. Also I don't have a brain so I don't need any foil.

    Oops, wrong thread.
As an ex-spelling Nazi, I was trying to be controversial by spelling " the edge" incorrectly, sort of like "no a in definitely"
That's the trouble with thinking about too many threads at once. Cross threading.
Also it's from not wearing a foilie soon enough, the result no brain.

Way too late for me to bother. Hopefully without the foilie, 'they' may be able to put something back.

I think there's a fundamental design flaw in the foily: to completely shield an electric field, the enclosure must be complete, see

    http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu...ic/potsph.html

To be effective, the foiley would have to completely surround the brain, or the entire person. A hole, slit, or half-sphere all fail to shield the electric field.

So you guys with hemispherical foileys are deluding yourselves.

    (Mwahahahaha)
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them . . . well, I have others.

If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.
