47% of Aussie work place deaths involves some sort of vehicle so any job that includes driving has a greater risk. I believe this figure also does not include driving to and from work.

In mu opinion the scariest one in that list, is number 3. When flight crew get hurt, it is usual for a couple of hundred passengers to get injured at the same time.

I live in New England and the fishing industry certainly ranks in the top ten.

Pottery use to be a deadly occupation but more cos of the slow death from silicosis. No sudden surprises. But I think most of the silicosis jobs have been out sourced to china. Or rather BACK to China.

I'm in at No.7 - Electricity takes no prisoners. Mind you 2 to 3 times the number of Yanks/head of pop. go up in flames compared with Australia. Maybe this comes from being a safety focused, not financially focused (read privatised) company. When they sell off the poles and wires I can only see change for the worst.
Fortunately I'm got the job of recommending what gear keeps them from turning into cinders.______________
