..Engine and undercarriage fitted..
This is a piece in progress for an upcoming exhibition..(there's wood under that copper) and the (yet to be made ) passengers will be in huon and rosewood.
..copper clad red cedar and found and fabricated machine parts..stands about 1200mm..
early days yet...
what if the hokey pokey is really what it's all about?

Looks good Undie, sure there's falcon wood under the copper The tripodded stand doesn't grab me though, especially for a fish

Love the fish, but have to agree with Springwater the stand doesn't really fit (do justice to the fish), however it might just be how it looks in the photo's.
Awesome bit of sculpture, love the prehistoric bird in the back of one of your photos, wouldn't mind a closer look at that one.

Stunning. Will the fins & tail be truely articulated or just meant to appear so?
I can't comment on the placement as I can't think of a positive contribution.
The delicacy of the legs does not detract from the work.

Fantastic Undie, copper and huon we have similar tastes in materials and I love the gantry legs, wonderful We may crossover at some point in future.

Ta folks
Still early days yet springy...the space within the curved gantry leg things will be filled with a boats and birds..
The fish will end up as a sort of steampunk dirigble floating/attached above the boat....well that's the plan
No RV.. it's all subterfuge...like many things I make...it only appears to serve some purpose
what if the hokey pokey is really what it's all about?

SSssshhhhhhh...you'll give the game away.
Nice work again. The scale looked big until the last picture provided a bit of context. Could see it as a large scale outdoor type of thing.
Looking forward to the development....and that dinosaur skeleton in the background...native to the area?

Great start Underfoot, I like the stand because it looks more like an invention of transport, like from the movie " those magnificent men and their flying machines" or Monty python, look forward to seeing more. It wasn't Chookasauras that caught my eye in the back ground, it was the perfect pair of feet, your not creating a frankenstein or something?
