    Default is this another virus ruse?

    Sorry to be a pest but I got an unsolicited email this morning from a Damian Campisi asking me to register with a tropicalfish forum.
    (left of the 3w's tropicalfishchat.net)

    The message started with the dreaded "Hi"

    Am I right to be suspicious?

    The site is a valid one and looks innocent enough. If youre sure you dont know the person who sent you the email and you have some time to waste then go to the website (its a Bulletin Board hosted by www.invisionfree.com) and make enquiries with the moderators of the BBS or the administrators of the host website.

    Suspicious is good.. especially with unsolicited emails.
    But the actual site looks legit... :confused: Except you have to register to read anything :confused:
    Was there an attachment on the email? Thats a sure sign that it's up to no good.
    Also check the guys full email address, is it from an organisation that you do deal with?

    All very strange....

    Not brave......had all shields up on the Mac when I checked out the site and prior to doing same I did a search on the site on all the major spam blacklist sites.

    As already pointed out by others in this forum.....when in doubt hit the delete button.

    It's deleted so I went to Google and there are plenty of tropical fish forums,
    but how do you know when you enter a site from Google you are not running into the same thing?
