    Default Hare and Forbes TS12

    Hey all,
    I recently received a a! Table saw. Its a hare and forbes TS12 contractors saw. I Have a few questions regarding the saw , and wondering if anyone has some answers.

    1. Its a 12 blade with a 16mm arbor is that standard?

    2. Is it worth trying to pull the arbor and replace the bearings? they are not as good as they should be

    3.Are link belts really worth it?

    4. Any aditional info on the saw?

    2. Is it worth trying to pull the arbor and replace the bearings? they are not as good as they should be Not fun but doable. Helps if you have a mate with half an idea and a hydraulic press to get the bearings onto the arbor

    3.Are link belts really worth it? Yes, improved my contractor saw's power output noticeably. The pain in the wallet has been forgotten over the past 8 or so years, to the extent that whatever machine's I could, I changed - Drill Press, Thicknesser and Jointer. More power, smoother transmission of power, easier to maintain.

    4. Any aditional info on the saw? Grizzly has the best range of manuals, this one might even be close enough for you to decide on it's usefulness to you.

    The saw says it is a 12inch contractors saw

    I just pulled the arbor from the saw, easier than expected, next step is going to cbc bearings to get bearings bulled and pressed

    Ive completed swapping out my bearings without any special tools
