It is having a dramatic effect, Laguna have just put their prices up by about 16% across the range as of July 1 due to the dollar.
$3200 for the 310HH is what I paid for mine last August plus delivery....you should jump on it if you want one before there is a big $$ hike. They are an awesome machine BTW

It's best to get a qualified electrician to have a look at your setup and determine what you need etc.
I have a 15amp table saw and a 20amp combo thicknesser/jointer and run them both from the 20amp sockets.

Got a Jet JPT310 HH from Carbatec in Adelaide about 2 months ago. Best thing I ever did. All of the above comments re machine performance and ease of use are, if any thing, understated. This thing will eat anything... amazingly quiet too. When I first turned it on, I had to take my ear protectors off to assure myself it was running.
Like others, I needed to have a 15 amp circuit installed in the shed. I actually had two circuits and plugs put in for under $300.
As a carver I've been frustrated at not being able to find stock big enough for some of the projects I have in mind. Having the Jet means I'm finally able to laminate up blocks to the size I want for some of these projects.
