G'Day from Lawrence
Hey guys and girls. My name is Lawrence, I'm 22yo and live in an Eastern Melbourne suburb. I've always being keen on woodwork and after leaving school at the age of 14 I started a cabinet making apprenticeship which I have successfully completed. But anyhow my love for wood work died off for many years after working with melamine and MDF forost of my career so far but recently something has sparked and i'm more in love with wood work than ever befor... So I decided why not not get amongst it with other WOOD workers. See you guys around

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Lawrence".
There are a heap of members in and around Melbourne PLUS a wood show in a couple of months..
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.
Cheers crowie

G'day Lawrence I couldn't agree more with your comments about board work as opposed to Wood Work. It's a real pleasure to see the grain jump out of piece of wood with a coat of oil.
See you round Anthony (Brisbane)

Welcome Lawrence,
Working with Melamine and MDF is guaranteed to kill off the creative juices. So welcome back to life with real wood! I also like to oil finish wood. Nothing really comes close IMHO.
Regards,
Rob
