Default Hello from Brisbane - with pics!

    Hi all,

I'm a half-garager who loved woodworking in school and has gravitated back to it as a weekend hobby. Still a beginner really.

My day job is slowly driving me insane so this is a great escape (and money sink, as I accumulate and migrate to better tools).

I've made some basic furniture, done some scroll sawing, with a desire to take on some carving. But there's not much I'm enjoying more than tinkering around on the weekend, with the footy on the radio, and am re-discovering that forgotten satisfaction of the process of creation, not just the product.

Forums look awesome, see you around!

Soon you will wonder how you will have enough time to go to work.
I hope you get as much enjoyment out of it as I do. Keep the pictures coming of your WIP and finished projects.

Welcome to the forum, I just signed on a few days ago as well and am still feeling my way around.

Nice job on the chair and bench. May both see plenty of use.

Default Hello from Brisbane - with pics!

Hello MrGrumz saw your hello from March, wondered how the insanity was going, or even better how's the woodwork going?

Here's a workbench I have recently completed for motorcycle inclinated friend.
Hope you haven't worn your new chair out

Welcome, you won't be a "half garager" for long so make good use of that chair and contemplate how you will keep SWMBO happy in the process of using all the garage. Just think of all the good tools you could get if you cashed the car in

    Hi mrgrumz,

Welcome to the Forum. Nice job on the bench and chair.
All the chair needs now is a stubby holder for after good hard
    day of woodwork.

    Cheers Graham.
