Filling Sunken Floor with external door
Gday Guys,
Have a double brick and tile house in perth. The family room leading out to the patio is sunken, which is rediculous. So we will be looking to fill the area with concrete and retile.
The problem is the external double glass sliding door is level with the sunken floor. Would raising this door be too much of an issue?.. is has a steel lintel set up running over the sliding door.
We will need to raise door about 150mm to bring it to unsunken level.
What do you guys think?, I think im still going to look at getting a builder in for the door as im not too flash with lintel set ups. Will raising this door end up costing me more than the filling of the floor?
Cheers
Shane
