    Default Hi all.

Iv'e been working with timber for years now and find it very therapeutic. Recently I have been tarting up old or unwanted furniture that the missus gets and then flog them off. I have a pretty good amount of tools that I am going to have to thin out as I am moving to New Zealand (Christchurch) near the end of the year, so I will be on the lookout to set up again when I get there. I am interested in getting involved with other woodworkers in the Christchurch area if there are any group/clubs that are running. Looking forward to reading as many posts as I can afford the time to as the bride to be has me flat out (I'm a Veterans Pensioner), and learning a lot of valuable techniques and ideas.

    Cheers all. Ritcho.

Gidday Richo, welcome aboard and hoping that you enjoy the journey. You must be a brave lad moving to that neck of the woods.

G'Day & welcome to a top forum Ritcho.....
There are quite a few Kiwi's on the forum so maybe one of them will be able to help you with a club in Christchurch.
As you mentioned you are ex-serviceman you might try the New Zealand equalivant of the RSL or Veteran Vets for a club.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP photos with build notes.
    Enjoy the forum.
    Enjoy your woodwork.
    Cheers, crowie
