Treated timber on extension, but not main house?
Does anyone know how the termite requirements for for an extension affect the existing house?
For example the main house is non-treated hardwood, but the extension will be H2 Blue Pine and similar treated timber to avoid the need for a termite barrier. Is this all that is required or do they look at the whole house when you do an extension?
