Gayle mill in ... Wensleydale(!) ... Yorkshire.
5ft water turbine replaced a 22ft water-wheel and doubled the horsepower.
Repair required due a small matter of a 42L/second leak.
Installed 1879. "Untouched" until early 1970's when a bolt was required to be replaced. Approximate cost $1.

Thanks so much for sharing this episode.

Because I live in the UK, I have just finished watching it (thought I would add a couple more pictures). The double vortex water turbine is definitely the star of the show (and rightfully so).

The true genius of this machine is the double vortex design, as the water leaves the turbine it travels through 2 separate pipes dropping 10 feet back into the river below into holes in the river bed. The flow in the river creates a vortex in each pipe, creating a vacuum and resulting in more power, total fuel cost....$0.00.

Because the water exits the pipes underwater there is virtually no noise created.

The episode allows very little airtime for any of the woodworking machines, but below are a couple of other snap shots (I wonder if anyone can identify any of them):
