hi from the UK
Hello all, im a complete novice to woodworking as is my partner, but i am creative and can make most things out of card/paper/fabric.
Anyway, both i and my old man would love to start a woodworking hobby and we have some idea of what to try and make.
I do hope some kind clever person can help as ive got lots of questions to ask.
We are hoping to make british weatherproof garden ornaments eg whirligigs and windmills.
thanks for reading and apologise in advance if i make any stupid comments or questions, we really dont know much about woodwork but we are willing and eager to learn, as long as its not too technical .

Welcome to the forum. I think you will find that we are all at different stages of wood working. I might suggest that you decide on something that you wish to build and then post questions related to that project. There are several sub-forum in this site that might take your interest so please do not limit your self to only one area.
If it a general question then might be best to post you questions on this part of the forum.

G'Day & Welcome "to the Great South Land" & to a top forum "millicent".
I think you'll find a few folk from the the UK on the forum and the rest of the world.
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist, just like Christos has already.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.
Cheers from On Top DownUnder, crowie

Welcome to the forum! I am also new here. While Ritz Plumbing performs trenchless sewer repair in my Playa Vista home, I will be home actively posting on this forum since woodworking has been my passion for a long time!
