Got some good photos of cockroach land from canetoad mountains yesterday
(south facing lookout from springwood in Qld)

Don't you mean Springbrook? You can see Mt Warning and some of the look outs on the Springbrook plateau are pretty much on the border. Originally Posted by echnidna

Get some pics on tonight hopefully.
Saw the coldest kookaburra I ever seen up there.
All fluffed up and reluctant to move, could get within arms length of it quite easily.
aaahhh
Queensland weather, perfect one day - wet the next.

Yeah its been tough on them at the Gold Coast, their water supply is real low.
The Hinze dam on the Nerang river is only 80% full. I'll post a pic later
