Anyone else have issues with 1/4 inch shank bits slipping in the Hitachi M12V router?

So I was able to patch the mis-cut and I switched over to the DW 621...forgot about how great the dust collection is on this baby! The M12V may see a little more shelf time now!

Looks like you could use one of these. http://www.gifkins.com.au/Reducing%20Collet.pdf
Certainly solved my slip problems.

As Burraboy said get that reducer and you will not have another problem with slipping.

Yes it does mn pete,I had trouble as you until I bought one.
I could never be confident that I was tight enough on the 1/2 router when using the 1/4 reducer and had slipping several times, after using Gifkins no more issues.Last edited by nrb; 16th April 2013 at 11:31 AM. Reason: spelling

It feels like hibernation Art! Too much travel for the day job, so I like to salvage the family time before the shop time...and the forum surfing time.
