Default Sometimes you can be sooo lucky

For a change of scenery we went for a trip to Woolies at Mission Beach yesterday.
Right inside the fruit and veg was a trolley with lots of loose fruit and veg.
The salesgirl asked us if we wanted to fill a plastic bag of fruit and veg for $3.
    Of course we did.
So my friend and I each filled a bag, then we found a slab of pork belly in the butcher section, just over 3 kg, reduced to $18.
When we got home we counted the spoils:
Just over 2 kg baby redskin potatoes, 10 bunches fresh asparagus, .5 kg cherry tomatoes, .5 kg large tomatoes, .5 kg fresh chilies, .5 kg fresh Brussel sprouts, 250 gr large flat mushrooms (forget what she called them), 250 gr button mushrooms, 6 kiwi fruit, 2 large pears and a bowl of fruit salad.
On the way home we also called in on the banana farm and got 10 large bananas @ 20 cents each.
So tonight we had a lavish meal like we haven't been able to afford for a very long time, I am totally stuffed
Every day is better than yesterday

    Cheers

Wow, they have Woolies at Mission Beach now
Last time I was there, if the office at the van park didnt have what you needed, you had to drive to Tully to find a shop. As you can tell its a long while since I was there.

I dream of that happening at Bunnings. Of course it will never happen as they don't do fruit and veg .

    Good score though .
