    Default Hello from tassie

    Hi all,
I've been a member for a while now and have enjoyed browsing different forums getting plenty of inspiration and ideas. I thought it is about time to introduce myself and might even start putting my two cents in from time to time.
My name is joel (user id jrock). I thought the best way to introduce myself would be to show apicture where I like to spend as much time as possible.
As you can see it is only a modest sized shed, just big enough to be useable and fit my toys into. The machinery I've got in the shed include 6"bench grinder, durden lathe (hidden behind ply) leda big boy sander, recently purchased wadkin bursgreen 10" table saw waiting for single phase motor, hammer bandsaw, dewalt 10" sliding compound saw, metabo thicknesser and a small mcmillian buzzer. I also have a selection of a few festool tools including a domino,ts55 rail saw, sander and router.then there is the usual assortment of handtools.
You can also see the current project/s a set of office furniture in myrtle and myrtle burl, right a2 the back is a sam maloof rocker in huon pine...... I will have to start another thread with a few wip pics.
    thanks everybody

Welcome to the forum, but looking at your join date you must be an old hand. Great bunch of machines you have, and I'm sure there will be many great projects emerge from the shed.
Sounds like you enjoy your time in there as much as the rest of us.
Which part of Tassie are you from? Any part is a great part in my opinion.

Yes I've been a "non active" member for a while, I finally thought I should be sociable with a group of like minded people
i live in Burnie, north west of Tas. I have also lived in queenstown where I done my carpentry/joinery apprenticeship, I will start another tread soon to show off some of the work I done while there... I guess stay posted.
